I just found out I have HPV, which I got from my Husband. My Husband has been unfaithful to me in the past which he was honest about (please, no need to tell me I’m stupid for staying with him) but he told me about his being unfaithful 18 months ago and I had a pap test a few months after and everything came back fine. Now I just had another one a year later and it came back that I have HPV. Is there any way this could be from when he cheated on me before and it just didn’t show up in my last test or would he have had to cheat on me again within this year for it to come up positive? so for example, if a man found out that he potentially carries HPV and his current sexual partner might have it now, too, how soon can the virus be detected for her or would it be able to be detected right after they began having intercourse?

This last tusday I had went to the doctor to get results on my pap. test. It turns out that I have HPV along with canceris cells around the cervex. Next tusday I go into the Gino. and see what they can do to help it from getting worse. Im really scared and i dont know what to do. Has anyone else been in this situation and can give me some advise?
