Genital warts are of genital HPV types.
If you had sex before you started your injections then you could have already acquired an HPV type. The vaccine is a preventative and is most effective when given before any sex.
If you had sex before receiving all three injections…then you could acquire an HPV type. The vaccine is three injections.. you are not fully protected until you have all 3 injections. The vaccine will not treat or prevent HPV types that you acquired before you finished the vaccine or were exposed to before you received the vaccine.
