Is The Hpv Shot Useless If You Already Have The Virus?

4

I was told that i have the HPV right before i was going to get the vaccine. The Dr never gave the shot to me.So now i dont know if getting the shot is useless or what. I told my school nurse i already have the virus when she tried to give me the vaccine and she looked at me all confused and said i dont get it. . . . What do i do? Keeping getting the shot or not?

Keep getting it, cause incase you get it again your immune system might not be strong enough as it could be recovering from the first time you had it.

  2. Vaccines are designed to prevent, not cure.
They’re usually disabled virus bits and pieces. Your immune system takes a look at the fragments in the injection, decides it doesn’t like them, and thanks to this advanced training it knows to kill the first few live virus particles that enter your system on sight without having to “think” about it.
If you already have an established infection your immune system has lost the war. Well, lost is the wrong term. Stalemated ala Iraq is a better description. Your immune system doesn’t need to be told what the enemy looks like; most tests to see if you have a virus rely on examining the antibodies your body is making to try to kill the infection.

    Yup!
I’d really look into the shot before considering getting it. Its very new, not 100% effective, so it may not even protect you from the other ones, and no idea what the long term effects of it are.
If I were you your shoes I wouldn’t even consider the shot.

keep getting the shot. there are many types of HPV the shot helps prevent 4 of the viruses. girls can have more then one type of strand of HPV so def keep getting the shot
